Indraprastha Gas Limited is one of India’s leading natural gas distribution companies. IGL supplies natural gas as cooking and vehicular fuel. Established in 1998, the company operates primarily in the Indian state of Delhi. IGL took over Delhi City Gas Distribution Project in 1999 from GAIL (India) Limited (Formerly Gas Authority of India Limited).

The project was started to lay the network for the distribution of natural gas in the National Capital Territory of Delhi to consumers in the domestic, transport, and commercial sectors. With the backing of strong promoters – GAIL (India) Ltd. and Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (BPCL) – IGL plans to provide natural gas in the entire capital region.

Counselling and handholding programme for cancer patients in Delhi through Sanjeevani Life Beyond Care, Building Bonds through Gender Sensitization for Auto, Taxi and Bus drivers in Delhi, Noida and Gurugram, through Manas Foundation. Setting up of PSA Medical Oxygen Generation Plants at District hospitals in Jhansi and at Manyawar Kanshiram Hospital in Kanpur City in Uttar Pradesh. Setting up of PSA Medical Oxygen Generation Plants at Purnima Sethi Multi Specialty Hospital in Kalkaji and at Tilak Nagar Colony hospital of South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) in Delhi.

Construction of Natural Gas Run cremation units at SDMC run Punjabi Bagh Crematorium. Project ‘IGL Oxygen Sewa’ for procurement and providing Oxygen Cylinders to the needy Covid patients. Contribution towards procurement of oxygen concentrators through MOPNG towards fight against Covid-19. Distribution of PPE Kits, hand sanitizers, oxygen masks and oxygen concentrators at Covid care centres located at Tughlaqabad, Sangam Vihar and Mahipalpur in Delhi through Gyan Drishti Trust.

Providing food to the needy people in Delhi through ISKCON. Contribution towards provisions of Oxygen pipeline, Oxygen and air outlet, ventilators and Bi-paps for ICU Beds at Bharat Vikas Parishad Hospital and Research Centre in Kota, Rajasthan. Setting up of cryogenic liquid medical oxygen tanks at Guru Tegh Bahadur Hospital at Dilshad Garden and at Indira Gandhi Super Speciality Hospital at Dwarka in Delhi, etc.

Their shareholding pattern consists of Promoters and Promoter Group having 45% of shares, Public having 11.34% shares, Government having 5.00% followed by FII’s having 23.87% shares and DII’s with 14.79% shares.
