Tata Power Limited is an Indian electric utility company based in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India and is part of the Tata Group. It was established in 18 September 1919 by Dorabji Tata. The core business of the company is to generate, transmit and distribute electricity. With an installed electricity generation capacity of 10,577 MW, it is India’s largest integrated power company. Tata Power Group has its operations based in 35 locations in India.

Covid-19 Response
A COVID-19 Apex Response Committee was formed to oversee organisational preparedness and management of the pandemic from a business continuity as well as employee safety perspective. In addition to segregation of essential and non-essential staff, location-wise Emergency Response Teams (ERTs) were formed and work from home or sites was assigned on a rotational basis.
Their shareholding pattern consists of Promoters and Promoter Group having 46.86% of shares, Public having 24.73% shares, Government having 0.54% following by FII’s having 11.26% shares and DII’s with 16.62% shares.
