Britannia Industries was founded in the year 1892.  Britannia Industries Limited is an Indian food and beverage company, part of the Wadia Group headed by Nusli Wadia. The company is headquartered in Kolkata. It  is one of India’s leading food companies with a 100 year legacy and annual revenues in excess of Rs. 9000 Cr. Britannia is among the most trusted food brands, and manufactures India’s favorite brands like Good Day, Tiger, Nutri Choice, Milk Bikis and Marie Gold which are household names in India. Britannia’s product portfolio includes Biscuits, Bread, Cakes, Rusk, and Dairy products including Cheese, Beverages, Milk and Yoghurt.

The company’s CSR expense stood at Rs 28.43 Crores as an average net profit of the Company for last three financial years stood at Rs. 1,421.71 Crores for the reviewed year as per the annual report. The areas for CSR activities included – eradication of hunger and malnutrition, promoting education, art and culture, healthcare, destitute care and rehabilitation, environment sustainability, disaster relief and rural development projects.

Britannia Nutrition Foundation’s programs seek to alleviate malnutrition and iron deficiency anemia among children and adolescents in the underserved communities. The program activities are focused at improving health and nutrition status of children, mothers and adolescents through a multi-pronged approach that works at three levels: At the Anganwadi Centre level, At the Community level, At the School level,

Their shareholding pattern consists of Promoters and Promoters group having 50.55% shares, Public having 19.87% shares, FII’s having 18.40% shares and DII’s having 11.18% shares.
