Britannia Industries Limited is a food and beverage manufacturing company that was acquired over by the Wadia group in 1918. The company is currently being headed by Mr Nusli Wadia. The company’s presence can be seen in over 60 countries across the world. It has a wide base of products ranging from bread, biscuits to dairy products and some of the popular Indians trusted brands are Good Day, Tiger, Nutri Choice, Marie Gold and Milk Bikis. Britannia established Britannia Nutrition Foundation in 2009 as an initiative to address malnutrition amongst underprivileged people especially women and children.
The shareholding pattern of Britannia is as follows: promoters with 50.55%, public with 20.26%, foreign institutional investors with 17.96% and domestic institutional investors with 11.23%.
The Board of directors came to a mutual decision on the interim dividend of Rs. 62per equity share for the year ended on 31st March 2021. Also, Britannia declared a rise in the profits by 3% YoY at Rs. 360.1 Cr. and an 8% rise in the revenue YoY at Rs. 3,038 Cr. Simultaneously, the company showed a 12% rise in operating profit of Rs. 453 Cr. and operating margin stood 14.9% for Q4.
