Motherson Sumi Systems Limited (MSSL) is a part of the Motherson Group, established in the year 1986. It is a joint venture between Samvardhana Motherson International Ltd of India and Sumitomo Wiring Systems Ltd. (SWS) of Japan. MSSL is one of the largest manufacturers of wiring harnesses for commercial vehicles and rear-view mirrors for passenger cars in the world and India’s largest manufacturer of automotive wiring harnesses and mirrors for passenger cars. It is also a leading supplier of plastic modules and components in Europe and India. The company has presence in over 41 countries all over the world and is ranked 22nd in the list of the world’s largest automotive component suppliers.
Company has done 18 acquisitions. Recently, Motherson Sumi acquired Bombardier Mexico’s electrical wiring business. In January, MSSL entered Turkey market by acquiring 75% stake in two Turkish automotive parts manufacturing companies, Plast Met Plastik Metal Sanayi lmalat ve Ticaret Anonim $irketi (PM-Bursa) and Plast Met Kahp Sanayi lmalat ve Ticaret Anonim $irketi (PM-Istanbul).

For the quarter ended 31-03-2021, the company has reported a Consolidated Total Income of Rs 17,033.46 Crore, down by 0.72% from last quarter Total Income of Rs 17,157.60 Crore and up 17.8% from last year same quarter Total Income of Rs 14,454.24 Crore. Company has reported net profit after tax of Rs 1,018.69 Crore in latest quarter. The Board of Directors decided to recommend a Final Dividend @ Rs. 1.5 per equity share of Re. 1/- each for the financial year 2020-21.
The results of Q4 were competent.
