Nuvoco Vistas Corp. Ltd, is the fifth-largest player in India and the largest cement company in East India, in terms of capacity, with a consolidated capacity of 22.32 MMTPA. In 2020 amalgamation with Nimbol Cement Plant, Rajasthan of Nirma Ltd. The Company was originally incorporated on February 8, 1999 as a private limited company under the Companies Act, 1956, with the name “Infra Cement India Private Limited” in Mumbai. Today, they have grown from being solely cement based to a building materials company with a vision to ‘Build a Safer, Smarter and Sustainable World’. They have 11 Cement Plants in the states of West Bengal, Bihar, Odisha, Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand in East India and Rajasthan and Haryana in North India comprising five integrated units, five grinding units and one blending unit. They have integrated plants which are equipped with waste heat recovery systems with a total capacity of 44.7 MW, solar power plants with a total capacity of 1.5 MW and captive power plants with a generation capacity of 105 MW, which generates 47.74% (on a proforma basis) of total power requirements.As of 30 July 2021, their shareholding pattern consists of Promoters & Promoter Group having 95.24% of shares in which Niyogi Enterprise Private Limited having 82.43%, Dr. Karsanbhai K. Patel aged 77 years, he is the founder and promoter of Nirma group having 7.55% and Kotak Special Situations Fund having 4.76% and Mr. Hiren Patel having 2.55% and Mr. Rakesh Patel having 2.51% shares. Company’s business portfolio includes:Cement, Ready-Mix Concrete (RMX), Modern Building Materials (MBM)For FY 21, the company had total assets of Rs.1,99,075.70 million and a Revenue of Rs. 75,226.93 million. Revenue & Total Assets showed an increase from the past two financial years, which is a good sign. The opening IPO date is Aug 9, 2021 till Aug 11, 2021 with the IPO price of Rs ₹560 to Rs 570 per equity share. The issue size of the IPO is supposed to be ₹5,000.00 Cr. Looking at the company’s financials, Nuvoco Vistas is not recommended to invest.
