Zee Entertainment Enterprises (formerly Zee Telefilms) is an Indian media conglomerate owned by Essel Group. Headquartered in Mumbai, it has interests in television, print, internet, film, mobile content and allied businesses. The company was launched on 15 December 1991 as Zee Telefilms, brand name. It also owns a music label, Zee Music Company. A partially-owned subsidiary, Diligent Media Corporation, is a publisher of Indian daily newspapers and websites. DMC is a joint venture between Zee and the Dainik Bhaskar Group.

ZEEL have chosen specific focus areas in which to deploy CSR contributions with a view to having a longer-term focus on certain areas such as: Women Empowerment, Protection and Preservation of Arts, Crafts, Culture, National Heritage & Monuments, Disaster Relief & Recovery, Integrated Rural Development Projects and Initiatives to improve public health through food quality.

They focus on lowering dependence on fossil fuels for powering operations, taking measures to reduce per capita electricity consumption across offices and enhancing the share of energy procured from renewable sources.
Covid-19 Response
ZEE has committed to offer a financial relief to over 5000 daily wage earners, working directly or indirectly for the company in its overall production ecosystem. In order to further support the PM CARES Fund, ZEE will leverage the strength of its media network across the nation and world at large, encouraging over 1.3 billion people to contribute. Over and above this step, ZEE has also provided an opportunity to all of its 3500 employees to offer voluntary contributions towards PM CARES Fund through an intranet portal.
