Indigo Paints Limited is an Indian paint company that is headquartered in Pune, Maharashtra, and has three manufacturing facilities that are located at Jodhpur, Kochi and Pudukkottai. In 2000, Hemant Jalan founded Indigo Paints to manufacture cement paint, by 2021 the company scaled up to become the fifth largest player in terms of revenue generation in the decorative paint industry. The company is engaged in manufacturing, selling and distribution of decorative paints, emulsions, enamels, wood coatings, distemper, primers, putties and cement paints.
Brand Indigo stands for unexpected solutions to painting needs such as India’s first Metallic paint, India’s first Floor Coat paint, Unique Ceiling Coat paint, for brighter and whiter ceilings and First-of-its-kind Tile Coat paint for roofs, which gives an excellent glossy look. With changing time and trends, Indigo Paints revamped its identity showcasing a new wave of thinking by the Company. The Company stands out as one of the strongest contenders in the Indian paint industry, being rated as an innovative paint manufacturer, which keeps coming out with unique products never before offered in the country.
Company’s primary focus areas for CSR activities are: Education, employment enhancing vocation skills especially among children, women, elderly and the differently abled and livelihood enhancement projects. Company will continue to work with state governments and other not-for-profit organisations to improve the quality of education or perform facilitating programs in government and municipal schools, which account for the vast majority of school-going children in the country. Company will also continue to work with institutes of higher education for focused capacity-building in specified disciplines.
Skill development and sustainable livelihoods, improving employability of the youth from lower-income sections of society is an important focus area. Company will continue to provide support to specific needs such as during natural disasters, through financial as well as logistical support.
Their shareholding pattern consists of Promoters and Promoter Group having 54% of shares, Public having 31.66% shares following by FII’s having 11.75% shares and DII’s with 2.59% shares.
