Titan Company Limited
Titan Company Limited (earlier known as Titan Industries Limited) is an Indian luxury products company that mainly manufactures fashion accessories such as watches, jewellery and eyewear. The company is headquartered in Hosur, TamilNadu. Titan commenced operations in 1984 under the name Titan Watches Limited. In 1994, Titan diversified into jewellery withTanshiq and subsequently into eyewear with Titan Eye plus. In 2005, it launched its youth fashion accessories brand FastTrack. It is the largest branded jewellery maker in India, with more than 80 percent of its total revenues coming from the jewellery segment.
CSR focus of Titan is on upliftment of the underprivileged girl child, skill development for the underprivileged and support for Indian Arts, Crafts and Indian Heritage. The Titan Scholarship Scheme in which over 1500 students of ITI, Diploma, Engineering, Medicine and Arts and Science Graduates have till date benefited from this scheme.
Sustainability Policy of Titan is clean and green technologies are introduced and implemented in our operations, as well as promoting “reduce and recycle” practices. Clean safe and healthy work conditions are provided for all people working in or behalf of the Titan.
“Himmotthan 2021” is a program inaugurated by MD, the 12th Titan supported water scheme in a Kot Koli village located in Tehri, Uttrakhand. The scheme is a gravity scheme that will supply water to 48 households or over 200 individuals. The scheme has seen the village women take lead in delivering construction materials in the hilly terrains. The CSC will also help them with other facilities such as opening of bank accounts etc. Himmotthan Society has created SHGs which have developed a tree planting site.
Their shareholding pattern consists of Promoters and Promoter Group having 52.90% of shares, Public having 18.61% shares, Government having 0.21% following by FII’s having 18.41% shares and DII’s with 9.87% shares.
