Dr. Lal Pathlabs Ltd. was founded in the year 1949 . It is an international service provider of diagnostic and related healthcare tests. Based in Delhi, the company offers a broad range of tests on blood, urine and other human body viscera.

The company’s vision to build a healthy nation and improves lives of the community. The mission statement of the company id to ensure improved health and well being of communities by promoting, preventing healthcare and investing in programs , partnerships and ideas that spreads awareness , take preventive action and diagnostic measures for community they serve . They work in the areas of non communicable diseases , adolescent healthcare , geriatric care, public care , water and sanitation and creating employment opportunities in healthcare .

The services of the company include 3000 individuals work in the company in India over 55% of the staff in laboratory functions. The company has a qualified team of 147 pathology specialists , 8 radiologists, 13 microbiologist , 5 biochemist and 11 specialist with doctorate degrees .

The CSR activities carried out by the company include -Vocational Education Programs in the healthcare delivery for Phlebotomists, Technicians and other similar vocations, Preventive Health Checkup Camps in underprivileged areas including villages, slum areas and other identified locations which are in the vicinity of the geographies that the Company operates ,Promoting access to Healthcare including awareness programs, Upliftment of Community through supporting projects for natural resource conservation, waste management, water management, providing safe drinking water, sanitation, vocational training and other such projects for the upliftment of community. Drive Environmental Sustainability through plantation drives, protection of flora and fauna, promoting bio diversity, animal welfare and veterinary services, promoting alternative sources of energy .

Their shareholding pattern comprises of Promoter and promoter group having 55.23% shares , FII’s having 26.42% shares , Public having 10.96% shares,  DII’s having 6.54% shares and others 0.85%.
