NESTLE India Limited was incorporated at New Delhi on 28 March 1959. It is a subsidiary of NESTLE S.A. of Switzerland. NESTLE India has presence across India with 8 manufacturing facilities and 4 branch offices. They started with a large number of co-packers, Nestle India is a vibrant Company that provides consumers in India with products of global standards and is committed to long-term sustainable growth and shareholder satisfaction.
Nestle India manufactures products under brand names, such as Nescafe, Maggie Milky bar, Milo, Kit Kat, Bar-One, Milkmaid and Nestea. The company has also introduced products of daily consumption and use, such as Nestle Milk, Nestle Slim Milk, Nestle Fresh n Natural Dahi and Nestle Jeera Raita etc.
Nestle apply its expertise in Nutrition, Health and Wellness to help people, families and pets live happier, healthier lives. They also protect and enhance the environment, and generate significant value for their shareholders and other stakeholders alike
CSR INITIATIVES:
Since March 2020, Nestle provided support with CHF 90 million in financial and in-kind donations in more than 50 countries. Their initial response to the pandemic focused on helping caregivers and strengthening healthcare systems through a partnership with the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC). Later in 2020, They have focused on responding to hunger and poverty, including a partnership with the European Federation of Food Banks. And since April 2021, They are supporting the broad and equitable delivery of COVID-19 vaccines.
Nestle India commit to initially, a sum of INR 15 crores towards feeding programs for less privileged sections of society through participation with leading and credible NGOs engaged in this along with distribution of essential groceries to the needy. They also supported out of the fund, purchase of medical equipment, PPEs as needed, They started with a contribution of INR 1 crore to Narayana Hrudayalaya Foundation for purchase of much needed ventilators for Delhi/NCR. They started the process of donating our brands to local governments to support the needy.
Their shareholding pattern consists of Promoters and Promoter Group having 62.76% of shares, Public having 16.88% shares following by FII’s having 12.43% shares and DII’s with 7.73% shares.
