Jubilant FoodWorks Limited (JFL/Company) is part of the Jubilant Bhartia Group and is India’s largest food service Company. Jubilant FoodWorks Limited is an Indian food service company based in Noida, Uttar Pradesh. The company is owned by Shyam Sunder Bhartia (husband of Shobhana Bhartia). The company was incorporated on 16 March 1995 as Domino’s Pizza India Private Ltd. and began operations in 1996. It changed its name to Jubilant FoodWorks Ltd in 2009.
The Company holds the master franchise rights for three international brands, Domino’s Pizza, Dunkin’ Donuts and Popeyes®. These are three different food market segments. The Company launched its first home-grown brand – Hong’s Kitchen in Chinese cuisine segment & has also begun offering brand-owned ready-to-cook range of sauces, gravies and pastes, ‘ChefBoss’. The Company also entered into the exciting world of Biryanis with the launch of “Ekdum!” It offers the widest range of Biryanis curated from various parts of India using authentic ingredients along with extensive range of Kebabs, Curries, Breads, Desserts and Beverages.
The company’s health program seeks to promote health and provide effective basic healthcare to the community. Through their program, they have been able to increase access to primary healthcare services and also to augment awareness on health and nutrition among the targeted rural communities. In addition they have been working with first generation learners to ensure that they continue their schooling, learn essential life skills and also decrease school drop outs & absenteeism. The key objective of their Livelihood Development Program is to enhance dairy farmers’ income and transform their livelihood through socio-economic empowerment. The sustainable cattle development initiative includes interventions which enhance cattle productivity through improved feeding, healthcare, breeding and farm management practices.
COVID Care: Some of the company’s efforts include contributing to PM Cares Fund, distribution of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to Police and frontline workers, caregiver, feeding of hungry and destitute etc.
Their shareholding pattern consists of Promoters and Promoter Group having 41.94% of shares, Public having 5.37% shares, Government having 0.14% following by FII’s having 41.72% shares and DII’s with 10.63% shares, Non Promoters – Non Public having 0.2%.
