Founded by Dinesh Shahra Ruchi Soya Industries Limited (Ruchi Soya) was incorporated in 1986, and has since then emerged as an integrated player in the edible oil industry. Today, Ruchi Soya is among the top FMCG players as one of the leading manufacturers & marketer of healthy range of Edible Oils and a Pioneer of Soya Foods in India. It is also one of the largest palm plantation companies in India.
The company manufactures and markets vanaspati and bakery fats under the name Nutri Gold and Ruchi No.1.Beverages- Ruchi Soya manufactures and markets of beverages under name Nutrela Nrich. Soya foods- manufactures and markets of Soya chunks. The company is also engaged in soap manufacturing and marketing. Another segment where the company is working is the segment of Extractions, Wind Turbine Power Generation.
Presently, Ruchi Soya owns 22 manufacturing units that translate to a refining capacity of over 11000 tonnes per day, seed crushing capacity of 11000 tonnes per day and packaging capacity of 10000 tonnes per day. Ruchi soya has access to exclusive procurement rights to over two lakh hectares of land in India with a potential of palm oil cultivation.
Ruchi Soya, since its incorporation, has been committed to social service and has constantly channelized a part of its resources and activities, such that it affects the society in a positive manner.
As a responsible corporate citizen, Ruchi Soya has made several contributions towards Covid relief work. The company in FY2020 contributed Rs 10 crores to PM CARES fund to strengthen the fight to contain the spread of COVID-19.
The Company has adopted a policy on prevention, prohibition and redressal of sexual harassment at workplace in line with the provisions of Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 and the Rules made thereunder.
Their shareholding pattern include Promoters having 98.9% shares, and Public having 1.10% shares.
For the quarter ended 31-03-2021, the company has reported a Consolidated Total Income of ₹4859.50 Crore, up 8.58% from last quarter Total Income of ₹4475.6 Crore and up 51.43% from last year same quarter Total Income of ₹ 3209.03 Crore. Company has reported net profit after tax of ₹314 Crore in latest quarter. The board has decided not to distribute dividend for the financial year 2020-21.
The result of Ruchi Soya Industries Limited is better from its previous quarter and year which shows that there has been growth in the company. Even though the net profits of the firm are high, the company has not been distributing dividend since 2015.
