HUDCO
HUDCO is a techno-financing public sector enterprise, in the field of housing and infrastructure owned by government of India with headquarters in New Delhi founded in 1970. Its activities include loans and financial assistance for housing activities, including urban housing, rural housing, co-operative housing, slum up gradation, staff housing, and repairs and renewals; loan assistance for housing by NGOs and private builders; take out finance for state government, public agencies, and private corporate sector agencies; land acquisition and area development schemes; and implementing agencies. HUDCO also offers infrastructure financing services for utility infrastructure, commercial infrastructure, social infrastructure, industrial infrastructure, community toilets and sanitation, information/ communication/ entertainment facilities, and telecom sector projects. HUDCO was upgraded to a Schedule-A PSE in 2002 and was also conferred the Mini Ratnam status in 2004. They classify their housing finance loans into social housing, residential real-estate, and retail finance, which is branded as HUDCO Niwas.
As a responsible corporate citizen, HUDCO has contributed Rs 50.28 Crores for PM Cares Fund. The company has spent Rs 58.27 Crore in CSR Activities in 2019-2020. Major areas in which CSR fund was allocated are Waste Management, Skill Development, healthcare, and education. Initiative was supported to facilitate senior citizen like making retiring room.
The Shareholding pattern of HUDCO consists of 89.81 % Promoters and Promoter groups, 0.10 % foreign portfolio investors, 2.29 % Domestic institutional investors and 7.81 % public.
For the quarter ended 31-03-2021, the company has reported a Consolidated Total Income of Rs 1777.85 Crore, down 4.06% from last quarter Total Income of Rs 1853.27 Crore and down 6.44% from last year same quarter Total Income of Rs 1900.40 Crore. Company has reported net profit after tax of Rs 526.28 Crore in latest quarter. The Board of Directors have recommended a dividend of ₹1.425 per equity share for the FY 2020- 21.
