Indraprastha Gas Ltd is a City Gas Distribution Company incorporated in 1998. The company supplies Compressed Natural Gas to the transport sector and Piped Natural Gas to the Domestic Industrial and Commercial sectors. The two main business objectives of the company are to provide safe, convenient, and reliable natural gas supply to its customers in the domestic and commercial sectors and to provide a cleaner, environment-friendly alternative as auto fuel to residents of the areas of NCT of Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan. IGL is one of the leading City Gas Distribution companies of the country catering to more than 1.1 million CNG vehicles, 1.4 million domestic PNG customers and over 6000 commercial & industrial customers. IGL has compression capacity of 87.79 Lakh Kg/day. It has 573 CNG Stations.As a responsible corporate citizen, IGL has made several contributions towards Covid relief work. IGL setup Vaccination camp for IGL family. IGL setup PSA Oxygen plant for continuous oxygen supply. IGL spent Rs 23.52 Lakh for providing hand sanitizers to prevent against COVID -19. The company spent Rs 19.88 Crore in CSR Activities related to health, education, empowerment of women & underprivileged and skill development.Their shareholding pattern include Promoters having 45% shares, FIIs having 23.80% shares, DIIs having 15.93% shares, Public having 10.27% and Government having 5% shares.For the quarter ended 31-03-2021, the company has reported a Consolidated Total Income of Rs 1738.30 Crore, up 7.23% from last quarter Total Income of Rs 1621 Crore and down 0.23% from last year same quarter Total Income of Rs 1742.46 Crore. Company has reported net profit after tax of Rs 375.10 Crore in latest quarter.
