Sun TV Network is an Indian mass media company headquartered in Chennai. It is a part of Sun Group and is one of Asia’s largest TV networks. it owns a variety of television channels and radio stations in multiple languages. SUN Group currently owns and operates 32 TV channels (24 SD + 8 HD) across Indian languages – Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Bengali and Sun TV is the flagship channel, which was the first fully privately owned Tamil channel in India. Sun Group has owned Hyderabad-based IPL team Sunrisers Hyderabad since 2012.
Conglomerate has power packed Thirty-Two TV Channels with the reach of more than 95 million households in India. Sun TV Network’s channels can be viewed in 27 countries including U.S.A, Canada, Europe, Singapore, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, South Africa, Australia, and New Zealand. Sun tv network is planning to invest more it’s Ott platform Sun NXT by making original web series and original Ott movies from the mid of the 2021.
For the quarter ended 31-03-2021, the company has reported a Consolidated Total Income of Rs 879.52 Crore, down by 16.97% from last quarter Total Income of Rs 1059.39 Crore and up 7.41% from last year same quarter Total Income of Rs 818.81 Crore. Company has reported net profit of Rs 487.86 Crore in latest quarter. The results of FY21 were rectitude.
