Madras Rubber Factory (MRF) is an Indian Multinational tyre manufacturing company with headquarters in Chennai. It is the largest manufacturer of tyres in India, also the sixth largest manufacturer in the world. The company is primarily engaged in rubber products including tyres, treads, tubes and conveyor belts, paints, and toys. It has presence over 65 countries globally- with tyres rolling out of 10 facilities built across 450 acres, 5000 plus strong dealer networks and 130 different offices. MRF also runs the MRF Pace Foundation and MRF Challenge in motorsport.
MRF Pace Foundation is a coaching clinic for training fast bowlers established by MRF with the help of former Australian pace spearhead Dennis Lillee, through this program, young aspiring fast bowlers are trained in a special facility. Also, MRF had been the bat sponsor for many star cricketers of the game.
As a Covid response, MRF spent a sum of Rs.25 crores to support various initiatives to address the exigencies.
For the quarter ended 31-03-2021, the company has reported a Consolidated Total Income of Rs 4,874.20 Crore, up by 3.59% from last quarter Total Income of Rs 4,705.22 Crore and up 30.14% from last year same quarter Total Income of Rs 3,745.21 Crore. The company has reported a net profit of Rs 332.15 Crore in the latest quarter. The Board of Directors decided to recommend a Final Dividend @ Rs.94 per equity share of Rs.10 each for the financial year 2020-21.
The results of FY21 were competent.
