Bharat Forge Limited (BFL) is an Indian multinational company involved in automotives, power, oil & gas, construction & mining, locomotive, marine and aerospace industries with headquarters in Pune. The company has now entered the defence sector and is moving from being a components manufacturer to a complete product maker. Company is a part of the Kalyani Group – A USD 3 billion conglomerate with 10,000 global work force.
Currently Bharat Forge is the “world’s largest single location forging facility consisting of fully automated forging press lines and state-of-the-art machining facility” with manufacturing operations in four locations.
Bharat Forge has signed a joint venture with France-based power generation company Alstom for turbines and generators. Alstom holds 51% of the shares and Bharat Forge 49% in the joint venture. Alstom Bharat Forge Power Ltd started its manufacturing facility at Sanand in Gujarat.
Since last few decades Bharat Forge is continuously implementing community initiatives and is proud organisation of being a socially responsible corporate citizen. As a Covid response, company organised workshops for stitching Cotton masks (10,000 masks were stitched), contributed 1 crore in Research and Development Organisation for supporting 1000-Bed Covid hospital facility and donation of 10 crore in PM Cares Fund was made.
For the quarter ended 31-03-2021, the company has reported a Consolidated Total Income of Rs 2,135.23 Crore, up by 23.91% from last quarter Total Income of Rs 1,723.111 Crore and up 22.63% from last year same quarter Total Income of Rs 1,741.924 Crore. The company has reported a net profit of Rs 212.123 Crore in the latest quarter. The Board of Directors decided to recommend a Final Dividend @ Rs.2 per equity share of Rs. 2 each for the financial year 2020-21.
The results of FY21 were competent.
