Apollo Tyres Limited is an Indian Multinational tyre manufacturing company. It came into inception in 1972 and has since been a trusted name in the business of manufacture and sale of tyre, corporate headquarters in Gurgaon and catering over 100 countries across the globe.
Apollo Tyres markets its products under our two global brands: Apollo and Vredestein. These products are available in countries across the globe through a vast network of branded, exclusive, and multi-product outlets. The company have five manufacturing units in India, one in Netherlandsand one in Hungary. It has a network of nearly 5,000 dealerships in India, of which over 2,500 are exclusive outlets. The company generates 69% of its revenues from India, 26% from Europe and 5% from other countries.
Apollo Tyres, being conscious of the triple bottom line imperative (People, Planet and Profit) for Sustainability, has developed a CSR framework by identifying and prioritising its key stakeholders. The CSR initiatives of organisation are in two themes Environment and Social (which has health and community development). Within the themes there are 4 core areas of work: Healthcare Programme for Trucking Community, Solid Waste Management and Sanitation, Livelihood for Underprivileged Women and Biodiversity Conservation.
In addition, there are a few Local Initiatives across around their Manufacturing locations. Further, the organisation also undertakes philanthropic initiatives – under Taru Foundation.
The board of directors recommended a dividend of Rs 3.5 per equity share for the year ended on 31st March 2021. Meanwhile, Apollo Tyres total income declined by 2.4% and stood at Rs 5,087.574 crores for Q4FY21, as compared to Rs 5,217.417 crores in Q3FY21, net profit is Rs 287.269 crores (35% less than Q3) in Q4FY21 against Rs 443.806 crores in Q3FY21. Though company showed exceptional growth (270%) in its net profit in Q4FY21, Rs 77.64 crores when compared to Q4FY20.
