Bajaj Auto is ranked as the world’s fourth-largest three and two-wheeler manufacturer and the Bajaj brand is well-known across several countries in Latin America, Africa, Middle East, South and South-East Asia. In 2007, Bajaj Auto acquired a 14% stake in KTM that has since grown to 48%. This partnership catalysed Bajaj Auto’s endeavour to democratise motorcycle racing in India. Bajaj Auto today exclusively manufactures the Duke range of KTM bikes and exports them worldwide. Bajaj Auto has also led the pioneering introduction of India’s first-ever Quadricycle – Qute.
The shareholding pattern of Bajaj Auto is as follows: promoters with 53.70%, public with 22.02%, domestic institutional investors with 12.29% and foreign institutional investors with 11.99%.
The Board of directors recommended a dividend of Rs.140 per equity share for the year ended on 31st March 2021. Simultaneously, the company’s standalone revenue grew by 26% to Rs.8,596 Cr. against Rs.6,815.8 Cr. in Q4 the previous year. Similarly, the net profit for this quarter grew nearly by 2% to Rs.1,332 Cr. and consolidated revenue grew by 26% also, Profit grew by 15%.
