HDFC Life Insurance Company Limited (formerly HDFC Standard Life Insurance Company Limited) (‘HDFC Life’ / ‘Company’) is a joint venture between HDFC Ltd., India’s leading housing finance institution and Standard Life Aberdeen, a global investment company. Established in 2000, HDFC Life is a leading long-term life insurance solutions provider in India, offering a range of individual and group insurance solutions that meet various customer needs such as Protection, Pension, Savings, Investment, Annuity and Health.
The shareholding pattern of HDFC life is as follows: The Promoter holding stands at 58.86%, Foreign Institutional investors holdings is at 25.67%, Domestic Institutional investors hold 6.25% , Public holdings at 9.20% and Other holdings comprise of 0.03% of the shareholdings.
We see there is a small increase of 2.2% in the Q4 profit after taxes, Rs.319 Cr (March 2021) compared to the year ago quarter which was Rs. 312 Cr. It collected new premiums of Rs.434.47 Cr as against Rs 298.40 Cr in the year-ago period. The assets for Q4-2020-21 stands Rs 173121, which is significantly higher compared to year-ago quarter.
The company has shown consistency in the EPS ratios when comparing all quarters of 2020-21 to quarters of 2019-20. All the quarters have seen a very small increase in EPS.
